French New Wave director Jean Luc Godard once said, “A story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end…..but not necessarily in that order.” It is certainly feasible to believe that Quentin Tarantino took this to heart while drafting the outline for PULP FICTION.  In 1994, Hollywood needed a breath of fresh air, and PULP FICTION proved to be an adrenaline shot to the heart of cinema. Expanding upon the promise that he showed with his debut film Reservoir Dogs, writer-director Tarantino’s thrilling crime-world black comedy was like nothing else out there. His Academy Award®-winning screenplay brilliantly intertwines the lives of two mob hit men, a boxer, a gangster’s wife, and a pair of diner bandits into a tapestry of brutality and redemption. Pop culture references peppered with random acts of (sometimes hilarious) violence, terrific acting (welcome back, John Travolta), and a superb soundtrack are just a few of the many aspects of what is now considered a modern-day classic. Often imitated but never duplicated, PULP FICTION was a truly eye-opening experience for moviegoers everywhere and a pioneer in the golden age of independent cinema.

The Wednesday Night Pitcher Show has become a weekly staple for young cinephiles.  Grab a lawn chair or a blanket, and pull up a seat on the hill next to Eden Bar.  The delectable food and drink specials and the film selected will be the perfect pairing to savor with good friends.

How to “Wednesday Night Pitcher Show”

Films are shown on an inflatable screen at the base of the grassy hill adjacent to Eden Bar. Existing seating is limited, so plan to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair of your own, and come early to grab the best spot! The film starts at 8PM, but Jello Shot Trivia begins at 7:45PM, and that’s a can’t-miss event! Our WNPS emcee will test your knowledge on the film scheduled to screen and hand out jello shots as prizes for correct answers. Plus, to whet your appetite and appease your hunger, Eden Bar will be serving special WNPS discounted drinks and food items. Head up to Eden Bar to order a bite to eat and your server will give you a pager to take back to the lawn. The pager will inform you when your food is ready so you won’t miss a minute of the film while you wait.
