Think of Me

Set in Las Vegas during a national financial crisis and proving that, when it comes to love, “money can’t buy it,” THINK OF ME tells the gripping story of Angela (Lauren Ambrose, HBO’s Six Feet Under and Best Actress Independent Spirit Award nominee), a jobless single mother doing her best not to fall apart. As she struggles to raise her daughter Sunny, Angela comes face-to-face with an impossible choice: keep trying or let it all go for the promise of something better. Trembling with vulnerability, Ambrose’s landmark performance devastates as she captures the stress bearing down on so many American families and builds toward a wrenching finale that reveals the true human cost of the recession. More impressive, though, is the character of Sunny (played beautifully by newcomer Audrey Scott), whose little face begs to be kissed every second she’s onscreen. This disturbing drama, co-starring Dylan Baker (Happiness) and Penelope Ann Miller (The Artist), raises important questions about the claims of parenthood, privilege, and the complicated and powerful ethics of familial love.

Bryan Wizemann’s (Think of Me) shorts include “Button Soup,” “The Morning Sun,” and “Film Makes Us Happy.” His feature Losing Ground was called “fascinating filmmaking that gets to the core of humanity.” Think of Me premiered at Toronto where Rex Reed called it an “admirably unsentimental film about the bravery of the human condition.”
